Last night I wanted to try out a new restaurant, and I'm glad I chose this place first. Starting off, the place is really easy to find, and when you walk in, you're instantly greeted with a friendly smile. Being my first time, I wanted to look over the menu, and in the ten minutes, I was asked a couple times if I needed help with anything, I heard the server have conversation with a customer, and two other groups came in to order and the server and customers started talking like they ran into an old friend. This is a lot out of my way to just say the service was frindly, but it went beyond what you normally get in other places, showing the pride in their food and service. After sampling multiple staples of a Mexican cuisine, I quickly understood why they're proud of their food. Although there was a couple quirks, they were my problem, not the restaurant's. Their tacos were good, the shredded beef tasted great, both in their tacos and chimichangas. The hard shell tacos were big, but the specialty tacos were a little small, but the ingredients tasted great. Last night, I had a tongue taco, something I haven't had in around 30 years, and the great flavor brought me back to childhood. Although the tongue taco was a little small, you pay a premium to get something you can't find in other restaurants. The cabeza burrito was another example of paying a premium, but I haven't seen cow/sheep cheeks since childhood. All in all, the food was good, the service was great, and the food came out quick. I would recommend this place to someone wanting to try something new, or want a reminder of what it was like being served by your aunt who makes great mexican food.

I've eaten at Tito's a dozen or so times over the last few years and have always enjoyed the food. My most recent visit did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is small with maybe 8 tables and 3 or 4 booths. It's a bit worn and disheveled with a mish-mash décor and is no real ambiance, While it seems a bit messy, they seem to keep it clean. The service is very friendly, but not what I would call professional. Our server munched on a couple of chips behind the counter before she brought ours to us and took our order. The menu has a good variety with lots of seafood choices, which are much higher priced, as one would expect. We never bother ordering a "combo" plate because the price doesn't seem to make sense--about $8 for "one item" with rice and beans, while the "one item" ala carte is only $2 to $2.75. So, we just order up several ala carte tacos, enchiladas, etc., which gives a much better value in my opinion. This trip we tried a plain cheese crisp ($5.75) some carnitas tacos ($2 each) and a green chili enchilada. Along with the complimentary chips and salsa with several salsas and guacamole from the salsa bar. The food came out quickly, was well prepared and tasted great. The chips were exceptional--very thin, crispy and not oily. With several salsas to choose from it was easy to find one for each of our particular tastes. The tacos are served street style on warm (not fried) double corn tortillas topped with cilantro and onion. The carnitas filling was tender and juicy, but not highly seasoned, which was fine for topping with a salsa. The cheese crisp was loaded with white Mexican cheese instead of the boring cheddar. Likewise, the green cheese enchilada was stuffed with cheese and was delish, although for my taste could have used a bit more green sauce. The total bill for two of us was only $20 which included a 20%+ tip. Great food AND a great value in my opinion. Well worth the almost half hour drive from our home in Prescott. - I you feel this review is Useful, Funny, or Cool, please check the boxes below. Thanks

This place a terrible. It's dirty. The food tasted bland and cold. The beans were hard. The enchilada sauce tastes like dirt. It's small. The ALCOHOL was WEAK! I would say go to Maya's or somewhere else just NOT here!

My wife and I just had this for the first time. We are immediate huge fans!! This place is largely underestimated it seems because there was nobody there and very few reviews on Yelp for it, so I wanted to change that! The salsa is Ok, nothing to write home about, but Ok. The food, however, is fantastic! I didn't know what to expect, but we were Very pleasantly surprised! We had tacos, enchiladas, and chile relleno. The enchilada was Ok. not great. The rice was good! The beans, in my opinion, are some of the best I've had! The tacos were Amazing! The Chile was great too! We've had the food at many Mexican restaurants in town. Very few are good up here. I don't want to take away from this one so I won't mention the only other very good one here in town, but there aren't many! Listen to me when I tell you, this place is a hidden gem!!! And Very Inexpensive!!! Go! Eat!

I love this place! Best tacos in town! The best shrimp cocktails too! For that matter everything is good and service is fabulas! The ladies are always friendly!! Only reason i did not give it 5 stars is for their decor but who cares with food so good why bother!

We just moved into PV and have been looking for good Mexican food. This is the best we've found so far. My wife and I (Mexican-American) recommend this place. It's small but the food is tasty.

Good food and friendly staff. Old building but very clean inside, decent prices and plenty of selections on the menu. Would go back again and would recommend it to others.

We were in the Prescott Valley area, and in the mood for Mexican food. We had heard about this restaurant and read the reviews on Yelp. Ordered the combo plate with two items. It was just OK. Chips were cold and not that great. Soup was delicious but the entree was so so. Mine was lukewarm, and just average tasting for Mexican food. Service was perfunctory. Probably won't be back.

Awesome food:) the salsa bar was definitely a plus. The staff is very friendly as well. Took us a bit to find the restaurant.

Stopped in for a margarita and to scope the place out while waiting for the car to be washed on the other side of the building. We were in time for happy hour and got some good and strong margaritas for $3.50 each. Enjoyed the drink... went and got the car from out back and returned to order an early dinner. The waitress was super nice and funny and tended to us as necessary. They have a great a la carte menu and tons of options. I got the carne asada y camarones a la diabla. Knocked my socks off. Tons of flavor in the beef and the best seasoned shrimp I've had in a long time. Comes with beans and rice and a choice of soup or salad.. I got the salad and I could've skipped the bowl full of iceburg. Next time I'll try a soup. I also had the option for corn or flour tortillas. Great salsa bar with guacamole and sour cream... warm chips. Second margarita in I'm ready to sing a song. This is a damn fine dinner and a great price. I had to get a takeout box the portion was plenty. Need a car wash? Pay the guys behind the restaurant and enjoy some great food while you wait. They did a killer job on my car too. I can walk here from home... I'll be a regular.

Went to Tito's because of the great reviews. It was extremely dissapointing. The chips thick, salsa tasted strange. The food was very strange. Sweet and no spice. We know good Mexican food. My husband owned a store in south Phoenix and catered to the Mexican community. Most of his workers were Mexican. They brought us home cooked food. Delish. The food at Tito's was not only strange but tasteless. Rice and Beans not good. Our group had a variety of dishes and no one liked their meal. Will not be going back.

One word... Ah-MAZING! My BF and I were visiting PV while on a business trip I had to satisfy my craving for good Mexican food. Tito's hit the SPOT. Not only did they blow me away with their fajitas (marinated chicken and steak.... people... NOT seasoned, MARINATED) but my BF said his Tamale was the BEST he's ever had. Salsa bar? Yes please!! Great service, even though we came in late on a Sunday night, they took excellent care of us. Well will definitely return!!

Great Mexican food at prices that can't be beat. I've been many times and have never had poor food, drinks or service. Really a deal that can't be beat.

Margarita (our waitress) was wonderful. Chips were warm! Authentic food and taste. The carne asada tacos were stacked high and tasty. The adovada was incredible. the mulita was massive.

I finally tried this place after driving by it for 11 years. My only regret is that I did not try it sooner! Great and friendly servers with a fun casual atmosphere. The tacos are great with my favorites being pastor and fish. They have a great salsa bar with heat levels to satisfy the novice or the adventurous

I have eaten here one time so this is probably not the most reliable review. However, I thought I should pitch in my 2 cents on the place. I ate a combo plate with a cheese enchilada and a beef taco. The food was delivered promptly, hot and had great flavor and slightly more spicy than most other places which is good for me. I like it HOT! Lots of onions in the enchilada too which increases the rating a lot for me. The red enchilada sauce was a bit different than most places in color and flavor. I really did enjoy the distinctiveness. The salsa bar was neat, clean and had some interesting variations to choose from. I liked that as well. But, if you are looking for fine dining, you won't want to choose this place. This is more of a mid to lower range mexican cafe in terms of facilities. You can tell from the curb, but I thought mentioning it might save you the drive. It has one dining room, a funky counter, 3-4 booths and several tables, so the place is fairly small. Probably not a good choice for a party over 8. I would definitely eat here again if I was in the area, but probably wouldn't justify the drive from Prescott.

Best mexican food, in my family's opinion, in PV. Great little "hole in the wall" off the beaten path. Everything tastes fresh & flavored nicely.

Had steak and shrimp .. fabulous... Mexican style steak - thin and tough but fabulous flavor!! shrimp SPICY but tender 'cause they were cooked correctly. All in all a wonderful meal served by an attentive server... casual but good... we will go back a lot!

Found this place on Yelp and it looked promising by the reviews. The server was nice and friendly. The chips were just OK but the salsa was great. Flavorful and just spicy enough to be interesting. My wife's ground beef taco had a strange flavor. Not bad, just different than any taco we have ever tasted. Her bean tostada was great. My chicken soft taco also had a very strange flavor. My shredded beef taco was good. The prices were reasonable enough, but there are enough really good Mexican restaurants in the Prescott area that we won't be going back.

Everytime I go here it is a great experience and I cant wait to go back. Its very affordable and has large portions of food. I especially love that they have a salsa bar with guacamole and sour cream at it :] Only downside is I've never had that great of service there; I always have to ask them to get me refills or ask them to come take my order.

Based on Yelp ratings I decided to try some tacos. I was not disappointed. Ended up ordering four tacos at a very reasonable $1.90 a piece. The Al Pastor was my favorite followed by the carne asada. Reminded me of some of my haunts in East LA. The carnitas was pretty good. I'm used to the meat cooked differently but it was stuffed full. I ordered a side of beans and got a whole plate full with chips thrown in with the order. Salsa bar is very good. Being a newbie to the area I will be coming back!

Our go to place for Mexican. Nothing fancy but the food is good and the prices are great! I love the salsa bar with the fresh salsas of different flavor and spice, sour cream and guacamole. My husband loves their fish tacos and I love the huge quesadillas. We are locals, we go here a lot and the service has always been fine.

I don't remember details because we went here a couple months ago but we had a great meal and the service and restaurant were very nice. WATCH OUT FOR THE TRAFFIC CAMS IN THE AREA IN A LOW SPEED TRAP!!! Update Jan 2014: speed trap camera is now covered and out of service.

This place is amazing. One night while working across the street I was craving Posole. I walked over to this place and was greeted by a friendly lady who handed me a menu. I saw on the menu that they only s Ed Posole on the weekend. I told the lady I was craving Posole even though it was only Wednesday. She laughed and then asked the kitchen something in Spanish. She then told me they could make Posole. Mmmmmmm it was good! An abundance of pork meat, spicy broth, hominy, the posole sides... It was good! Thank you Guadalajara for satisfying my Posole craving! I'll be back

Without a doubt this is the best mexican food in northern Arizona. Period. Try it. You won't be disappointed. Be sure to check out the ala carte menu. Shape your meal exactly as you want. Overall, a very extensive menu. Service is excellent too.

We'd been encouraged to try this place out by some good friends on more than one occasion, so we drove around 'til we found it. It's not in an easy to find location. We were sorely disappointed after the glowing reviews our friends had given. None of us cared for the salsa, the shrimp tacos I ordered were teeny-tiny and over-priced and my parents who were eating with me both complained of the flavor of their meals. They said they were bland. Not the spicy mexican we love. To top it off, the waitress seemed to forget we were there. She never checked on us and our food came out cold. We probably won't give it another try since there are at least two other mexican restaurants nearby that we love.

Best little family-owned Mexican restaurant in this area. If you want flavorful and authentic taste, this place is for you. The beautiful and personable employees like Anna and Margarita are like family to the regulars at the restaurant. The salsa bar has a wide variety of flavors and heat and the pricing of the meals is way too reasonable for the high quality of food they serve. They don't advertise but the place is easy to find a block off the main road.

Tried this place but didn't really like it. The prices were more than Casa Cardenas which is just down the street. Just wanted to try something else, but will stick with our favorite. Won't be going back here.

We come here every Tuesday. Prescott Foodies was where I saw it. Very reasonably priced and just enough authentic Mexican ambiance. Service is stellar and they have the great "condiment bar" I love. We have had shrimp faijitas, shrimp enchiladas, chile relleno. all very good. We generally do not like green peppers, so they are always willing to substitute jalapeno. Go, really go!

Food was GREAT GREAT GREAT! I had a combo with a taco and chicken enchilada with green sauce! AMAZING! Beans were so good! Rice was so on point! Not to mention that salsa bar! MMM! Cannot wait to go back and try something new!

Tito's is a total dive--true Tijuana kitsch as it's finest. There is not even a whiff of modern corporate influenced professionalism about the place. However, if there was only one Mexican food place you could try in the tri-city area, this should be the one. I won't expound on this in any detail other than to say, I have eaten at every (yes, every) Mexican food place in the tri-cities at least twice. And yet if I lived next door, I would eat here a few times every week. Tito's is the real deal.

I have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant since moving to town and found this little place. The food is good and the portions are reasonable. The pricing is fair. The interior is clean. The food is pretty good. My favorite place in town so far.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
